EXPERIENCE
Christine’s practice includes all areas of family law including divorce, prenuptial agreements, custody, child and spousal support, issues specific to LGBTQ+ families, and a variety of other family matters. She is committed to providing compassionate and thoughtful representation through whatever changes your family may be facing. Christine assists families in navigating out-of-court settlement processes, including negotiations, mediation, and alternative dispute resolution, as well as through litigation when appropriate.

Christine is a collaboratively trained attorney and assists families interested in the Collaborative Process in both DC and Maryland. Christine has a particular passion for working with LGBTQ+ individuals and families and believes that every person deserves to feel dignified, understood, and celebrated in their identity.

Christine has prior experience supporting individuals through family conflicts as a Summer Associate at the Burr Law Firm, as a long-term volunteer at the D.C. Superior Court Family Law Self-Help Center and previously, the Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter, and as a Legal Intern with domestic violence and legal aid organizations.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Christine received her law degree with a concentration in family law from the George Washington University Law School and graduated as a Pro Bono Scholar, receiving the Gold President’s Volunteer Service Award. As a student, she served as a Dean’s Fellow and Research Assistant for the Fundamentals of Lawyering Program, as well as the Reproductive Justice Coordinator for the GWU chapter of If/When/How: Lawyering for Reproductive Justice and the Director of New Programming for the Student Bar Association.

Christine has completed formal training in mediation and the Collaborative Process, and remains committed to continuing education opportunities and pro bono/volunteer engagements to broaden and refine her skills.

Christine graduated, cum laude, with a degree in Economics and a degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Arkansas.

COMMITMENT AND PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS
Christine is admitted to practice in DC and Maryland.

Christine serves on the board of the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and is also a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. Christine is a member of the DC LGBTQ+ Bar Association and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association.
