Kayla S. Vossler
EXPERIENCE
Kayla Stuart Vossler practices in all areas of family law, including divorce, child and spousal support, property distribution, same-sex marriages, common-law marriages, and custody matters.
With over seven years of experience in the legal field—as a paralegal, law clerk, and now attorney—Kayla brings a comprehensive understanding of the legal and practical challenges families face. Her background across all aspects of family dispute resolution allows her to guide clients through divorce, co-parenting, property division, and financial matters such as alimony and child support with both structure and compassion.
Kayla is also a trained mediator, Parent Coordinator, and collaboratively trained attorney.
Kayla offers Parent Coordination services to support co-parents in implementing and maintaining parenting plans in a structured, child-centered manner. Her approach aims to support parents in reducing conflict and fostering healthier communication, with the goal of promoting stability and well-being for their children.
Kayla also assists families interested in the Collaborative Process in both DC and Maryland. The Collaborative Process is a structured, out-of-court approach that allows clients to work with a team of trained professionals to reach thoughtful, durable agreements through open, respectful dialogue—minimizing conflict and promoting healthier long-term outcomes.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Kayla received her law degree from the Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. Kayla attended the evening program while working full time during law school. Kayla received her bachelor’s degree with honors from Texas Tech University while working part time.
Kayla has completed formal training in mediation, Parent Coordination, and the Collaborative Process to better support clients in resolving family disputes outside of court.
During law school, Kayla was elected as the First Year Representative for the Evening Law Students’ Association, then elected as Vice President, and finally President.

Kayla is admitted to practice in DC and Maryland. Kayla is a member of the DC Bar Family Law Section, the Montgomery County, Maryland Family Law Section, as well as the Maryland Bar’s Young Lawyers Section.
Kayla is a member of the DC Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Collaborative Dispute Resolution Professionals of Maryland, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals
Kayla was elected to serve as a Board of Governors Young Lawyer Section Representative for the Maryland State Bar Association from 2023 - 2025.
